Shit. I have Peroneal Tendonitis...AGAIN!
The first time this occurred was 4 days before my marathon. Now that I know what it is, I have decided I will NOT "run it off". Since it's the very beginning stages of tendonitis, I feel I can treat this on my own with lots of rest and icing. I'm just extremely thankful it is not an IT (iliotibial) band issue! those are bad news bears!
I'm making the executive decision to cease running & continue other exercises instead. I'm thinking POOL RUNNING!
It's an exercise like running on pavement except running in a pool! Here's hoping to not losing stamina I've built so far.
My plans are to:
Rest
Ice
Compress
Elevate
...several times a day.
Tendonitis...please go away.
