oh...tyra...

I'm watching the Tyra Show right now & I have some qualms with what the nutritionist & Tyra is saying.
In a nutshell, they are talking about how "not to look like you're on a diet" (a diet is something you have, not something you're on, geez.), & how to disguise your healthiness. The reason why they want to mask their healthiness is so they don't become the outcast or debby downer when dining out with friends & families at a restaurant. The nutritionist then give tips on how to mask healthy eating. An example they gave: "Don't order a salad if you're at a pizza joint, eat the pizza, just eat less". There are some parts I agree with & parts that I don't. If I want a damn salad, I'll order the the frickin salad. But, for me personally, I will have the salad AND that pizza (bc then I'll be pizzalusting if i dont), just less (this is where i agree with tyty & her nutr.) . And by less, I mean enough so you're not stuffed to the max.
Oh, and ps. Nick's pizza has the best salad AND white pizza...but so does Lombardi's...hmm Im at a crossroads.

I completely understand how the comments can be uncomfortable; for instance "you're just gona eat bird food?" when you order a salad. While taking the initiative to eat more healthfully, why are people taking the flack for it?? Maybe that's why such a high percentage of Americans are overweight. When did opting to eat healthier become "not normal"??
Why should we have to "hide" the fact that we want to eat better, more nutritionally dense food? Shittt...

Come to think of it, I don't necessarily have qualms with what Ty & the nutritionist are saying, it's just the fact that sometimes it is a challenge to CHOOSE healthier foods in the first place and now we are supposed to CHOOSE to eat healthier food AND hide!! the fact that we do. Ridiculousness?? I think so.

Umm, Tyra is seriously nuts. I watched a clip of her show on The Soup last night, and she was hyping up this secret to making you feel better about the way you look, or confident of something. So she waits until the end of the show and makes her big reveal: turn off the lights and light a candle. Bitch is off her rocker.
