Day 1, Week 1 - Low CHO

After the first day of the whole low CHO thing, I feel rather well.

1. Do you feel more or less hungry than you usually do?

I am definitely NOT hungry for snacks bc I can't have any of the snacks I usually have like my cereal swirls...or flax cereal...or the Godiva Truffles (sooo flippin' guuuuoood) I got for Valentine's day from the bestest...; Well, I want snacks but bc snacks would = tangerine, frozen blueberries, edamame...I don't want a whole lot of that as opposed to chocolate...in which case I could more or less down 3-4 truffles in one sitting.

2. Do you find yourself eating more or less at meals?

I'm definitely eating less. Veggies & beans were FILL-LING! and oats are always filling & satisfying.

3. Do you find yourself eating more or less often?

Eating the same number of times...just less @ each sitting/snacking. I think I snack...A LOT, typically.

4. Do you find it difficult or inconvenient to stick to the rules?

Not sure yet, it's been pretty easy this first day (yesterday) bc I was pretty much out of groceries due to the snow storm...yes I live right across the street from KeyFood but they are expensive! and not as good as TJ's. So, why waste my money? I just bought half dozen eggs from KeyFood...for $1.69!! they are $1.69 for a whole dozen @ TJ's!! Thieves.

5. Do you notice any differences in your energy levels or mood?

Since it's only been one day, I do not notice any changes yet. I'm tired but I'm always tired bc I sleep too late.

(will answer rest when next week...obviously)
6. Could you imagine continuing the experiment for more than a week?
7. How would you rate the overall quality and balance of your diet? Better or worse than usual?

I like this diet experiment! I'm interested to read more about it, I always wonder about certain food emphases too. Like vegan, raw, and the like. so cool!
since going dairy and egg free, and eating barely any meat I've noticed that when I do eat meat or eggs, I get really bloated and sick feeling. very interesting no?

that is interesting!! I just found that when I eat to many veggies, I feel way bloated, but it's a different kind of bloated. Less like a food baby, more like a small food baby but I can still move and feel less .."blah"

..but then again, it could be mental since I know i just ate a good, nutritiously satisfying meal as opposed to ...not.

i bet it's because of all that fiber. I had broccoli last night for the first time since before Jane was born and it made me a little bloated.

i like reading your results so far!
