I planned for a double digit run today since it was so nice out...more specifically 10 miles. However, it was so incredibly gorgeous out that it would have been a total waste if I didn't try for a half marathon...13.1 MILES! I strapped on my GARMIN & have a new found appreciation for my Garry (my Garmin GPS watch's name). I had second thoughts about him (as I will elaborate in the next paragraph but lets stick to my glory for now). I haven't attempted a double digit run since my Marathon training days & let me tell ya... it feels GREAT to know that I STILL GOT IT! It's relieving to know that I can still churn out the mileage if I wanted to. On that note, I'm planning to sign up for the Women's half in April :-)
As for Garry (Garmin); I tried it on for size on my 2.8 mile run once I received it... and felt like a robot. I had wires from the headphones of my POD & then a gigundo watch on my right hand. Then I kept worrying about my (slow-ass) pace & got supremely frustrated which is why it's 2.8 miles as opposed to an even 3; Honestly, I wanted to rip Garry off and toss it in the nearest trash... of course then I thought about the 150$ I dropped on that bad boy & decided against it. Today I gave him a second chance & he proved himself and needless to say, I was grateful.
Here are some eats I found on my camera... in no chronological order. I've been slacking on documentation.
Lunch: @ Panera Bread- didn't have my glasses on & ordered something random & it tasted "blech"; I had to remake the sandwich with the bread they give you on the side. The one documented has like tomato & something funky in the bread...
ALSO, Christine & I made Cranberry Coconut cookies...mmmm...NO pics yet, but I will steal some from her soon..or they are on facebook...
