Poll 39!

It would be inappropriate not to address today's Election. It was imperative for the youth to come out and vote today. I am so extremely proud of us for the amazing turn out of young voters. It generates great confidence in our generation. My mom, dad and I walked to my elementary school P.S. 144 to vote - my first time! I was extremely excited when I was on line. I pulled the lever, voted, and expected confetti to spew & the Star Spangled banner to play as I proudly stepped out of the voting booth, but to no avail... not even a "Be nice to me, I voted" sticker (Jessica). But a FIRST is a first and it sets the habit of voting not only for me but for all the young voters out there, we will be voting from now on for sure.
It's quite astonishing that we get to witness one of the most historic elections as cliche as it sounds. It's also funny that many (well at least I was) are so frightened at the fact that Palin just might be the next VP that it generated the "greatest voter turnout since 1960" (CNN).

GREAT VOTING '08.

Hahaha! I love that imagery. The best part is that I would have expected it too. Everyone just makes voting sound so epic!
