Oh boy, the ING marathon is on and it conjures excitement and anxiety.
Excitement - in that I want to run the ING marathon!!
Anxiety - in that I will be running my own (DISNEY) marathon in... oh 9-10 weeks. no big deal.
Running Health update:
Insurance has cut my PT sessions off, thanks a bundle! not. I have just gotten back to running and my physical therapist has been monitoring my runs. He is awesome.
I have ran 5x* since seeing him with minimal to no pain. We found my knee must be taped for pain to be nonexistent. I also have to stretch for 5-7 minutes BEFORE a run, 35 minutes AFTER any run. I am ok with that to keep my legs in strong healthful shape.
*Run 1 & 2: 3 miles around the neighborhood
Run 3 & 4: 4.3 miles Central Park; 4.5 miles Central Park
Run 5: (yesterday) 7.2 miles around the apt.
I just want to be able to finish Disney with a positive attitude; there will be other 4:30 marathons in my future.
ps. they are playing NEW YORK by Frank Sinatra at the start of the marathon!! how fitting.
