It was somewhat brutal.
-Woke @ 7am. Fueled the tank (my body) with coffee n' toast. Brought tropical carrot juice for the 10 mile road.
-Definitely started out too fast. And sipping on juice made my intestines twist and shout thus transforming my body into a bloatation device. I felt bloated n gassy, it really woulda been nice if i were able to just let it rip, and farted all the air out... i tried, but nothing. - tmi?? (this was mile 4-5ish)
-Must truck on, so I just thought about:
1. how great I will feel after I finish this 'long ass run'
2. i pictured a (mickey) medal hanging on the tree 20 ft ahead and how i had to be like Mario and 'collect' the coins ( but in my case, a mickey medal)... i get creative w/ bountiful time on my hands.
3. how my knee is not hurting...
4. how i will have to stretch for 40 mins after this run.
5. how i will have to run 16 more miles if this were the real deal race.
6. how i have 5 more longer runs to complete before tapering begins.
7. how i will buy cute running clothes to 'get excited' about longer runs.
8. how i will also redeem my free eggs from target today!
9. how i really need to create a running playlist instead of having Taylor Swift on repeat for 10 miles. (as lovely as that is).
