The half marathon is in 8 days, I have not run for 7 days due to some sort of crazy illness (ok not crazy, now im just being a drama queen). But it has not fully subsided for 7 days.
Symptoms: sore throat & waking up thinking my throat was on fire! (ate raw carrots by accident & thought I was swallowing shards of glass - great feeling, btw), headache (occasional), runny nose.
I've done all the training I need but am worried about having not run for 7days. I know all the work I've done is not going to completely disappear, but it's a bit...disappointing.
Anywho, I'm finally feeling better & will go for a 30 min slow, easy run to test the waters.

UPDATE:
didn't make it to 30mins...I felt ok; definitely could have made it but was feeling a lot of pressure on my chest/lung region + it started to drizizzzzle - so I made the executive decision to cease the run & commence later on the treadmill.

i didn't know you were sick. i hope you're feeling better! it's better that you take it easy or you'll poop out on the half. how did you beer bread turn out?!
