I ran my first marathon today in NJ.
Woke up @ 3am to catch E to Penn. Sta. with Reezey McNeezy. Caught the 5am special Marathon train to Long Branch, NJ
It was raining..the WHOLE TIME; my shoe got soaked, I was soaked.
Mile 1-2: Left & Right leg - slight pain, but feeling awesome.
Mile 6-7: seemed to take forever to run the first 7 miles.
Mile 13: seems easy breezy, but when the half marathoners began cheering, I dreaded another 13 miles...
Mile 16: Kinda tired.
Mile 18: Thought I was going to pass out and almost cried, but pushed through it and ate pretzels and gatorade instead, as I ran.
Mile 22: A nice lady behind me saw I was running out of steam, and gave me "instant energy beans" lol which worked right away, but i spent 5 whole mins jogging and trying to open that dang package with frozen fingers
Mile 25.5: Saw my friends & family! and received boosted energy for the finish;
After crossing finish line! - I CRIED! IT WAS SO EMOTIONAL; this was one of the toughest, most grueling challenges I have ever attempted. As cheesy as it may sound, I learned a lot abt myself- basically that I can do anything. I needed this; this experience has been an extremely personal endeavor that I wanted for myself to prove many things.
I am sore, tired, exhausted, and limping everywhere. And its quite perfect.
I am proud of myself.
Ps. I got really funky biker shorts tan lines... i need to go to beachbum or something, i look like a lesbian .

You are AWESOME!!!
What was your time? Seriously I'm SO proud of you!! I wish I could have been there right alongside. How is your tendon? RICE :)
Little Jane is flipping & kicking around inside because she's so proud of her auntie caro.
Aaron was pretty darn impressed too, and we both think you need to go beachbum too, although it's always fun to be related to interesting people. ;)
LOVE YOU!
Congratulations! :)
Dude. amazing. I wish I could have been there.
Maybe we can do the next one together... or the next 1/2 of one.
