16 Things I Hate About You

So this is the FIRST! post of the new year... I have waited so long because I have absolutely nothing noteworthy to mention. Therefore, I'll do something 'fun'. Having been tagged - "Once you’ve been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 16 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 16 people to be tagged."

1. I played the piano for approximately 14 years & hated every single minute of it until I realized how wonderful that was.

2. Up until the age of 6 or 7 I thought I was white.

3. For the past month my ipod has been on shuffle & repeat on Taylor Swift's album, Fearless. Her song "Best Day" made me tear up the first time I heard it. ('what a girl', i know)

4. I listen to songs and manipulate the lyrics in hopes of relating them to my life.

5. I love reading Indian themed novels - Calcutta, India - including but not limited to, all Jhumpa Lahiri books and Kite Runner; currently I'm reading 'Bitter Sweets'.

6. I have subscriptions to Runners World and Shape magazine.

7. I got my first cavity on my adult teeth on Dec. 21, 2008.

8. I sold my first 5 textbooks on Amazon last night and felt like a legit business woman as I printed out the packing labels & organized each book; now if I can only sell those dang cookies on Amazon.

9. My best friend is Jessica Lax & have known her since the 6th grade. I think we are bff4L! bc we take a nice summer day, stay in her living room, put on the Cosby Show, shut the curtains and take naps on our designated couches.

10. I love airports & the morning/duration of a flight day.

11. I still need to go on a kickass road trip. One of the highlights of those are SNACKS of course! Oh, and I am ADDICTED to twizzlers!!!

12. My favorite room in the house is the Bathroom.

13. When I was in elementary school I told my parents I wanted to be a cashier when I grow up - looks like I found my dream job pretty early in life eh?? then it was a pastry chef, psychologist, physical therapist, nutritionist, dentist and finally Registered dietitian, RESPECTIVELY.

14. Then when I was a bit older, I wanted job that allowed me to wear a pencil skirt and carry a sleek briefcase. Now, I'll probably be wearing scrubs or a lab coat - BORE-RING.

15. My dog's name is Juno, named after Juno, my favorite movie. Juno was the Greek goddess of fertility or something to that degree, but my dog's a boy. I call him Junebug, my mom thought I was saying Junebo & now Junebo really stuck.

16. My Asian Am. Studies Professor - Hayashida - had the biggest impact on my college academic career.

Bonus (17) I know how to wear crazy shit to the supermercado & knock down Nilla Wafers in the process :)
