Sundays are my "long run" days of Marathon training. 6 MILES! - that's like running up Mount Everest or something well for someone like me who...does not run 6 miles for kicks. The most is probably like 4 miles and thats pushing it. Hence, my running sneakers look brand spankin' new! (though I've had them for a while) Anywho I went to Astoria Park for today's challenge and then took a few pictures on my way home. P.S. that's a picture of me stretching after my run. I am very proud.
Another thing I have been meaning to do for a very long time is make this fried rice that my grama used to make for all 7 of us (my cousins) during the summer days where our parents would drop us off at granny's. We'd first watch the Brady Bunch then play [stuff ourselves in big giant red velvet suitcases] then watch Power Rangers then play Power Rangers [i always fought to be the pink ranger]. Then we had lunch. She always made this amazing fried rice. Before she came down with Alzeimer's, I remember asking her to teach me how to make it; from the seasoning/marinating of the beef to the chronilogical additions of each ingredient from the peas to the eggs...AND IT TASTES EXACTLY (sorta) LIKE HOW PAUGUS (what we call grama) USED TO MAKE IT! mission accomplished :)
